Monday August 13th, 2012 – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) Holds “Listening Session” in Hillsborough

About 20 business men and women attended a “Listening Session” with Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-7) in Hillsborough, NJ. The event was hosted by Todd Magee at his Planet Earth Biodiesel facility (301 Roycefield Road).

Also attending were Hillsborough’s Deputy Mayor Gloria McCauley and Township Committeeman Frank DelCore. Secretary Toni Natale represented the Township’s Economic & Business Development Commission (EBDC).

Partnering with Hillsborough in organizing and sponsoring the event was the Somerset County Business Partnership. Representing the SCBP at Planet Earth Biodiesel were President/CEO Mike Kerwin and Takeena Deas.

The Congressman opened the event by speaking for about 10 minutes. His focus was on economic growth and job creation and his concern that if a tax increase went into effect on Jan. 1, 2013 it would have a significant negative impact on both.

Following his opening remarks, the Congressman answered questions from the attendees for about an hour.
